1. "Oops, honey, I think I just had a baby! Now where has it gone?..."
(Although it had gone - whoops - through a train toilet onto the tracks, incredibly, it was okay.)
2. Kittens Pwn Black Bear
(Sorry for the netspeak, but this story totally deserves it. I only wish someone had been there with a video recorder.)
3. Small town businesses with squirrels. Daddy just got back from picking up his car from the mechanic's. The mechanic is named Dave. Dave's garage/workshop, like many around here, is at the end of a dirt road in the country. It's planted all around with blackberries, strawberries, grape arbors, and even a bed of daffodils that spell out "DAVE." While Dave was getting the bill, he handed Daddy his pet squirrel to hold. The squirrel cuddled with him, and, of course, piddled on his shirt.

Spring break hello
I had an unexpected couple of free hours this morning, so I spent the time, as I've been meaning to do for weeks now, surfing Blogland and leaving comments here and there. Hello, blogging friends! I'm sorry I don't visit more often.
I'm sitting on my mom's couch in front of the picture window in the front room, watching the rainy weather, listening Kermit sing "Rainbow Connection" over the snoring of two cats, and drinking coffee with chocolate milk from a local dairy. (Thank you Allie! She brought it back from a 4-H field trip last week.)
I have a couple of minutes left and waaaaaay too many March photos to deal with, so I'll try and pick out just a few from this week. I still need to find a new way to share photos. I like Photobucket's thumbnails, but it takes me so long to format the html the way I want it that I end up just not posting.
Sunset in Hot Springs, Good Friday; Easter eggs to hide; Andy and Layla dyeing eggs.

Allie and Ella; Layla in her dress-up jewelry from her Easter basket; Allie's Lego house.

A windy day on Rich Mountain; the first wood violets of the season.

Lord willing and the creeks don't rise
Here are a couple of Daddy's photos of a scenic lookout on Highway 270. In the first one, taken over a year ago, if you look very hard at the bottom of the photo you can see a glimpse of the Ouachita river. In the second, taken last week... you don't have to look that hard. (Click on the thumbnails to enlarge.)

For something even more awe-inspiring (not sure what word to use here), check out this video of a house in the White River in Calico Rock. You didn't read that wrong, I said in the river.
And since I didn't get around to it last week,

Some cherry blossoms I found outside of town on March 1.
And happy Easter! I'm on spring break this week, so I hope to do some catch-up with blogs.

March snow!
Truman is up to his usual tricks of squeezing into spaces he really doesn't fit.

Mama knitted my teddy bear a vest!

Just as I had given up, we got a couple of days of snow! In March. After January tornadoes. Weird.
Spring blossoms and snow

On the road from Little Rock home

Millstone at Burl's Smokehouse; children sledding; truck with a pine tree fallen on it

Razorback mailbox; vista; donkeys!

The third picture here was taken by Daddy on our road.
Around home (the last four pictures were taken by Daddy)

Allie's birthday party: Layla, mostly being silly

Allie's birthday party: Allie (It was a High School Musical party. There are fewer pics of her because she was so busy with being the birthday girl!)
