For now, think back to late October. This is what it looked like around here.
Boyle Park in Little Rock on one of the first cool, clear Fridays of the fall.
Allie had a sleepover around Halloween. The theme, in honor of Theodore Roosevelt's birthday on October 27, was Teddy Bears.
Teddy bear picnic; a redneck tipi Grandpa built out of bamboo and tarps.
Bead crafts that kept the girls busy; bonfire for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows.
Coals; "graveyard pudding"; Cleo and a pumpkin.
Butterflies on zinnias and marigolds.
My mom's 8th grade graduation dress, which I wore to a "decades" themed costume party at church; Layla acting silly.
Layla served us "tea" in the tipi, then wandered around with a pair of teddy bear glasses on.
The setting sun through some maples on campus.

Alicia, hi! I'm a lousy blogger. Thanks for the nudge. :) Things are pretty good here, just trying to get some projects done, help out my parents and get ready for Christmas!
The Teddy Bear party was so fun, and the biggest surprise was how the girls took to that bead craft. They actually went back twice and spent a couple of hours, quiet, threading beads onto pins!

Steph, thank you! Honestly, my posts make *me* homesick, too, since they're mostly of the farm and family, and I'm living in LR. Of course, it's a lot easier for me to travel home than it is for you. On the other hand, you have snow! :)
